The visuals to Beyonce’s Brown Skin Girl is finally here and it’s definitely worth the year long wait!
It’s been one whole year since Queen Bey blessed our playlists with “The Lion King: The Gift” album which featured a handful of African artistes including our favorite Nigerian artistes. Shortly after the release of the album, word got out that the music video for fan-favourite, ‘Brown Skin Girl‘, which features Wizkid and Saint JHN was in the works.
Fast forward to July 31st, 2020 the long awaited and much needed video is finally here. Earlier on, Beyonce had teased the video for ‘Brown Skin Girl’, just in time for the release of her visual album ‘Black Is King’ which is currently streaming on Disney+.

“Black Is King” is based on the music of “The Lion King: The Gift,” Beyonce’s album inspired by Disney’s live-action version of “The Lion King,” which featured the singer as the voice of Nala. One of the most highly-anticipated releases of the summer, “Black Is King” arrives just over a year after “The Lion King” premiered in theaters.
The video which features iconic black women including Naomi Campbell, Kelly Rowland, Lupita Nyongo’o, Adut Akech and a host of others, celebrates women of color from all walks of life.
