Currently the talk all over the media space, self acclaimed African Giant Burna Boy, has publicly said he does not have to sugar coat anything or be politically right in his actions or what he says.
During an with UN deputy secretary-general, Amina Muhammed, both parties spoke about the challenges facing Nigerian youths locally and internationally.
When asked by Mrs Muhammed how the singer speaks to the world, Burna replied saying he speaks through his music.
In his words; “For me. I’m the most realistic and realist person you’ll ever meet. I don’t have to sugarcoat anything and I don’t know how to be politically correct. so this is why I usually don’t have this conversations, I just put them in music, if not, I’ll end up getting in trouble.”
This is probably the reason Burna Boy has continued to addressed social cultural issues in his music.
With the release of his latest project, Twice as Tall, Burna has maintained a high profile. The album became the fans favorite since the albums release.
Meanwhile, African Giant, another body work from Burna Boy, has been BRIT Certified Silver.
